This area is located around 30 kilometers northern of Makassar, which is rich in limestone and spread of paddy field, so that the natural panorama is really interesting

1. Bantimurung Waterfall

Bantimurung waterfall is located at the valley of the steep limestones hill with its fertile tropical vegetation which makes this area an ideal habitat for the type of butterflies and birds that are famous for their rarity.
In 1856-1857 a prominent English naturalist. Alfred Russel Wallace spend half of his life in this area. In this area he anjoyed catching numerous sorts of rarely found butterflies, birds and insect. Among the butterflies that the caught was Papilo androcles type, which is considered one of the rarest and biggest type of butterfly that has a tail like a swallow.
A detailed description concerning this place attracts the attention of the most archeologist, pre-history experts and others. The area of the waterfall and surrounding isone of the interesting, enjoyable and fresh place, for walking and swimming.
From the waterfall, you can go by vehicle to the "National Park" through the lines of limestone hill.

2. Dreaming cafe

The dreaming cafe is located at about 15 meters lower than Bantimurung Waterfall. To get this cafe, we have to go through a small path with takes us about 15 minutes to walk to the course of the river, in which Dreaming Cafe is located. By using torch light, we can enjoy the beauty of various forms of limestones, which bring you to the dreaming world.

3. Prehistorical Park of Leang Leang

Through careful care and accurate management, historical center has several caves. One of them can be enjoyed, namely historical painting, of which it is about 5000 years old. The archeologist consider that some of the caves have been occupied since the early of 8000 till 3000 b.c. The caves have become the sources of information, particularly about the pre-history, not only in South Sulawesi, but in South-East Asia as well.
The existence of a number of sea-hells showing the evidence of the coastal life were found in this area.
It is also very easy to remember the last five to eight thousand years ago, when the human beings were still living in the caves, during the mesolitics ages, because there are many palm traces encountered on the wall of the caves.
