| Soppeng is one of the former kingdom city that once had authoritive area as well as
strong influance among the local kingdoms. This can be proven by examining the ancient
'lontara' writing, writing by bugis ethnic. Soppeng is also known as one of the beatiful
cities in this province. One of it extraordinary features is the abudance of bats flying
everywhere. These bats are hangingin the trees while crying. Without caring the traffic noise and the noisy surrounding. Mhythologically speaking, the leaving of the bats sign that something bad will happen or disaster will soon happen. |

1. Lejja natural Swimming Pool This swimming pool is located at 40 kilometers from the capital of Soppeng Regency. This Object is very inresting, because it water does not have a sulphuric smell, and it is also surrounded by mountains and huge trees so that is very good for taking a rest. |

2. The Grave Yards of Jerak
This is the graveyard of the kings of soppeng. It is located in Watan Soppeng city.
These graves are quite unique, because they are covered with roofs which is made of
hard volcanic stone. It heigh is about 2 meters from the tomb surface that remind us
of the Megalithic remnants. |
